ABSTRACT

From the beginning, source emissions detection limits were treated like detection limits for drinking or waste waters. Significantly more sources of uncertainty are involved in Source Emission Testing and Modeling, including physical sources and mathematical sources. The Uncertainty of the final modeling results, as currently determined, is highly uncertain. Testers, Modelers, and Regulators must consider these uncertain Uncertainties for each source at each facility in order to ensure a robust decision-making process. This presentation presents a map to various sources of uncertainty, and what bias this may have on the final result.
