ABSTRACT

This presentation describes the studies conducted to develop a technically accurate and scientifically defensible site conceptual model (SCM) for use in regulatory negotiations and legal proceedings related to a major fuels terminal. The terminal complex is comprised of several storage and distribution facilities. The SCM provided an overview of the nature and sources of fuels and soil and groundwater impacts found in and offsite the facilities. Independent multiple lines of evidence were used to verify the site conceptual model integrating various conventional and innovative investigation and forensics tools.
