Samuel Falzone

Samuel Falzone has been with Rutgers University Newark for two years and is currently a Research Associate for over a year, focusing on developing physical relationships between geophysical measurements and hydrogeological processes as a means to characterize groundwater resources. While most of Falzoneā€™s work to date has involved groundwater resources, more recent work also as relevance to contaminant transport, energy resources, and other near surface applications. Current research involves developing an understanding of how electrical geophysical characteristics relate to the hydrology of rock layers in an effort to understand the nature of solute transport and fate through porous media. This work includes laboratory characterization and development of new field instrumentation capable of understanding solute mass transfer between mobile and less-mobile porosities.
