Andrew Nelson

Andrew Nelson received a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master of Science (MS) in Environmental Science and Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) and PhD in Human Toxicology from the University of Iowa. Andrew’s research background has focused on the biomechanics of running, microbial ecology, cell signaling pathways relevant to aging and cancer, and environmental radiochemistry. He is the author/coauthor of nearly over many scientific publications, including a US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) radiochemical method, and has contributed to the development of several ASTM standards. Andrew’s current focus is on improving global chemical safety and security.
