ABSTRACT

This presentation will cover the most common sampling methods used during indoor air quality investigations for both fungi and bacteria. The sampling equipment and consumables needed to perform both culturable and non-culturable methods will be discussed. Sampling methods will include the various spore traps on on the market, Anderson sampler, SAS, RCS, and surface samples using swabs, tapelifts and sponges. The utility of each method will the discussed as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each.
