Cheryl Soltis-Muth

Ms. Cheryl Soltis-Muth currently serves as a Supervising Chemist for the Analytical Services Department of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD). She supervises the Advanced Instrumentation Section of the laboratory and oversees operation of the following equipment: two Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma Spectrometers (ICP), one Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS), four Flow Injection Analysis (FIA) units, one Ion Chromatograph (IC), two Mercury Analyzers, two Total Organic Carbon/Total Nitrogen Analyzers (TOC), and a Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometer (LC-MS-MS). She also has the pleasure of managing a staff of six talented analysts. During her tenure with NEORSD, she implemented the mercury clean sampling and low-level analysis program and has served as the laboratory project manager for several wet-weather sampling and analytical projects for the District and other local utilities. Ms. Soltis-Muth has been with the Sewer District for twelve years but has worked in environmental laboratories serving in a variety of capacities for the last 25 years.

Ms. Soltis-Muth graduated summa cum laude from Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. She is a certified State of Ohio Class IV Wastewater Analyst and a Class II Wastewater Operator.
