ABSTRACT

The industrial and environmental use of on-line analyzers is increasing. Previously, on-line analyzers were veiwed as measuring "trends" with very little quality control attached. Eventually, if EPA decides to regulate industry and ambient water, with on-line methods there will need to be some defined QA/QC criteria. These criteria will be different than what we are used to in laboratory analysis. This presentation presents some suggestions on QA/QC based on the authors experience with on-line cyanide and TOC analyzers.
